Discover Jesus’ Blessing…and Yours

God’s blessing is a spiritual imprint of the Father’s favour on our lives (like what we see in this picture of the Holy Spirit dove descending upon Jesus).  It’s a discernible and tangible touch of heaven that can affect every area of our life.  God’s blessing is an atmospheric endowment above and around us that attracts unearned benefits into our lives. Doors open.  Favour reigns.  Advancement abounds. There’s generational goodness and grace upon our family and children… these are all evidences of our Heavenly Father’s Blessing upon us as His children.

Read Deuteronomy 28:1-14.  If all God’s promises are ‘Yes and Amen’ for us in Christ… then what sort of blessings can we expect in our lives as a result of Jesus fulfilling the law for us?

Ephesians 1:3-6 (TPT)
Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ… in love he chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe!  Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence.  For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as his delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that his tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace—for the same love he has for the Beloved, Jesus, he has for us…

Describe how the promises of this scripture make you feel when you consider a.) the scope of God’s blessing, b.) the Father’s heart of love towards you, and c.) the length of time God’s been planning your redemption and inclusion.

Father-God wants us to have so settled in our spirit, that we are both blessed and beloved before we begin.  In that Jordan River, and proven in that crucible wilderness our Lord modelled for us that there is a better way (than insecure striving) for those who’ve Discovered Jesus…

The way of receiving favour first.  The way of enjoying Sabbath from the Start.  The way of believing that we are beloved before we begin.  The way of living from the overflow of Father’s ‘just because’ love BEFORE we embark upon our destiny purpose.

Now that we have learned from today’s message that “The battle is for our beloved-ness,” take the time to describe just how BELOVED God must see you as His precious child.  Use as much loving, poetic, and doting language that you can possibly bear – and then turn it up a little more.  It’ll do you good and guard you against the devils lies.

Romans 5:8 (NIV)
…God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

 Romans 6:23 (NIV)
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.

 1 John 3:8b (NIV)
The reason (or purpose) the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

What do these scriptures teach you about what Christ’s cross has achieved for us?

Colossians 2:13b-15 (NLT)
…God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He cancelled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

Galatians 3:13-14 (TPT)
…Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed the curse completely as he became a curse in our place… Jesus Christ dissolved the curse from our lives, so that in him all the blessings of [God] can be poured out upon [us]…

List off the curses that you are grateful to have ‘cancelled’ and ‘nailed to the cross’ forevermore:
